HAGI TV Bingo is proud to sponsor FREE camping at the Wilderness Discovery Centre.

Free camping at Wilderness Discovery Centre will be taking place between June 15th and August 6th . Wilderness Discovery is located on Lake Shebandowan. Successful applicants will receive:

Free accessible cabin rental or lakeside suite
Free access to all amenities: lodge, pontoon boat rides, bonfires, fishing swimming, etc.
Free wheelchair accessible transportation from Thunder Bay to Wilderness Discovery Centre, with return.
Boat rentals are available for individual rentals. We do not cover the cost of the rental.

Below, select the camping sessions from first choice to third choice. HAGI will stagger the camping groups and notify you of your date. Lakeside Suites have been staggered this season. Check‐in is at 3pm, and check‐out will be at 11am. Camp 1 is a specific session for those interested in fishing off the dock and may produce some great experiences. Remember to bring your fishing rod, fishing net and bait.

Camp 1: (Camp Opener): June 15 – 21 (6 night sessions)

Camp 2: July 20 – 23 CABINS July 19-22 Lakeside Suites (3 night sessions)

Camp 3: July 24 – 29 CABINS July 23-28 Lakeside Suites (5 night sessions)

Camp 4: July 30 - August 2 CABINS July 29-Aug 1 Lakeside Suites (3 night sessions)

Camp 5: August 3 - 6 CABINS August 2-5 Lakeside Suites (3 night sessions)

Consent and Participation Policy for Camping Sessions

Participant Responsibilities: Participants are responsible for bringing the following items to all camping sessions:

Personal food and drink(s)
Food storage containers, aluminum foil, saran wrap, and paper towels
Keurig Pods or coffee and filters
Personal Support Care Worker
Personal items such as hygiene items, clothes, swimsuits, etc.
Bug spray and sunscreen
Camp Chair for beach or fire
Fishing rod, fishing net, and bait
All required medical equipment and supplies

Provided Amenities: The camping sessions offer the following amenities:

Fully wheelchair accessible cabin or suite
Wheel‐in shower
Fully equipped kitchen with dishes, cups, utensils, dish soap, dish cloth, tea towels, rags, microwave, countertop stove, refrigerator, and freezer
Keurig Machine/Coffee Machine
Linens including sheets, blankets, towels, and pillows
BBQ and propane
Air Conditioning
Filtered (drinkable) water
One Power Wheelchair and one Scooter available on a first-come, first-served basis

Pet Policy:

Only registered service pets are allowed, and documentation must be provided.
Participants are responsible for the care, management, and clean-up of their pets.
Failure to comply will result in a cleaning fee.

Cleaning and Damages Fee:

If applicable, a cleaning and damages fee will be charged for failure to leave the cabin in a clean condition (excluding normal wear and tear) upon departure.
A replacement fee will be applied for any missing linen.
HAGI is not responsible for any of the above fees charged to the camper.

By participating in the camping sessions, you agree to adhere to and comply with the above policies. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
