OUR PARTNERSHIPS

Wilderness Discovery Partnership

Along with being a fun activity enjoyed by many, proceeds from HAGI TV Bingo support various programs and services for people with disabilities. Most notably, HAGI TV Bingo sponsors the Wilderness Discovery Camping Program. Located on Lake Shebandowan, this accessible camping resort eliminates the barriers that prevent people with disabilities from experiencing the outdoors. The Wilderness Discovery Camping Program provides individuals with disabilities the chance to do many things for the first time such as camping, lake swimming, fishing, and boating.

OUR COMMUNITY

Moving forward together

Within the community, HAGI provides a representative voice for the disabled by creating awareness and implementing solutions surrounding accessibility, transportation, sports and recreation, and housing. HAGI listens to concerns and advocates for change through effort made by the Board of Directors and diverse group of members. As a result of HAGIs efforts, Thunder Bay has become known as one of the accessibility leaders in Ontario in the provision of independent living solutions; other Ontario communities often try to replicate the initiatives of Thunder Bay as they have proven to have positive, long-lasting impacts.
